TESTIMONY AND MARTYRDOM OF STEPHEN

TESTIMONY AND MARTYRDOM OF STEPHEN

The Apostle Paul testifies of the following in his own writings: ACTS 6-7

Video 5:43

ACTS 7: 55-56 - Stephen is tried. Stephen recounts the history of Israel and names Moses as a prototype of Christ. Stephen testifies of the apostasy in Israel and... seeing Jesus on the right hand of God. ... Then is stoned to death.

Stephen see's Two separate individuals

Jesus standing on the right hand of God, His Father

54  When they heard these things, they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed on him with their teeth.

55 But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up steadfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,

56 And said, Behold, see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.

57 Then they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and ran upon him with one accord,

58 And cast him out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man’s feet, whose name was Saul.

59 And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.

60 And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep.

How does this COMPARE with the TESTIMONY of the Prophet Joseph Smith in the video below?

As members of The CHURCH of JESUS CHRIST of LATTER-DAY SAINTS, we testify that their testimonies are the same.

* Free Brochure of the Prophet Joseph Smiths Testimony can be had by clicking here.

JESUS Himself also declared it as found here:

John 8: 17-18

17 It is also written in your law, that the testimony of two men is true.

18 I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me beareth witness of me.

--------------------

Jesus' Twelve Apostles also declared the same: that Jesus and His Father are two separate individuals. This is but one example of the Apostle Paul's witness of Stephen's account. .

(ACTS 7: 55-56 - Stephen see's Two separate individuals.)

The Apostle Paul on the left as Saul prior to him becoming the Apostle Paul with Stephen on the right.

You can find that this is true for yourself as well by reading the words of Paul in ACTS 7: 55-56 - wherein Stephen see's Two separate individuals; the Father and His Son Jesus.

* Jesus also testifies in 2 Corinthians 13: 1: In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established.

-> Here we have 8 witnesses; Jesus, His Father, Paul, Stephen, Joseph Smith , Ourselves (my wife and I) and the Holy Ghost.  Not to mention the rest of the ancient 12 Apostles witnesses as well!

----------

The INVITATION is now being extended to you to come to know the truth of all this for yourself.

-> The words of the Apostle James in the New Testament, James chapter 1:5-6, 8 reveal to us how we can all gain this same witness for ourselves, just as millions of others today across the world have experienced.

James says...

5  If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

------------

-> To upbraid means to: (find fault with,  or reproach severely; censure), the opposite of being faithful.

------------

* Want to know the truth of it for yourself? ... Simply do as James directs, that is, (ask of God in faith, nothing wavering). ... If you do, please let us know what your experience is like. ... We would love to hear from you.
